This special event is organised for wine lovers who want to visit places of interest and taste wine and meet people with the same interest in one of the undiscovered wine-producing areas of Italy. A hidden gem in Italy’s wine production industry that is often overshadowed by our neighbours in Tuscany. Yet, 70% of Abruzzo grapes are bottled under Tuscan labels. That is changing however with a growing appreciation of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. Many of our Abruzzo wines have won important competitions and received many awards. You will taste some of these wines on this weekend event.

Highlights

Small-group tour, a maximum of 10 people.

Learn by a wine making professional how to taste and understand more about wine.

Enjoy traditional food and wine accompaniments.

This Abruzzo Wine Tasting Tour is a true wine experience to get to know the mostly undiscovered Abruzzo wines, amaze your friends with wine knowledge that most people don’t have.

What exactly is a “wine tour” and how to make the most of the tour?

A wine tour isn’t just about seeing the vineyards, the landscape and tasting the wine; rather it becomes a completely immersive experience during which, with the aid of a guide, you are able to discover the wines made from the grapes cultivated in this area. You will find out the real Italy, not the touristy places.

To give a practical example, we offer a journey that begins in the vineyards, where many varieties of grapes are cultivated, and here we reveal the secrets as well as recount the more special moments of the grapes production into wine.

Following this we take you to various cantinas for a closer look and thorough explanation of the wine making and ageing process.
